Emergency Cash Ideas – A Sample

For everyone that wants to know the kind of information they can get here, I thought a sample was in order. This story is about a New York City cab driver who earns an extra $300 to $400 every week, just by keeping his eyes open. He has a ‘Plan B’ – do you?

Several years ago I was in New York City and had the good fortune of riding in a cab driven by a young man named Jorge. On the dash of the cab, Jorge had a digital camera and since I was in the market for one, I asked him about it. He told me all about it and then told me why he kept it in the car.

It seems that he had found out (the hard way) that having photo evidence of a car accident can be very valuable in a court of law. He had lost a court case because the other party had taken very detailed pictures of the accident scene and of the damage to the cars. Jorge may have lost the case, but he found an additional source of income.

Because he is on the road so much, he sees many traffic accidents. Now when he sees an accident he pulls over and starts taking pictures of the cars, the road conditions, the traffic etc. (taking care to stay out of the way of the police) He then offers to sell the pictures to the parties involved in the accident. He says that the party in the wrong is “Looking for a way out” and the other party is looking to ensure that they can win, if the case comes to court.

Jorge makes a minimum of $50 and usually $100 per accident and says that with a serious personal injury accident he has made as much as $300. Not bad for 10 or 15 minutes work!

Two ways to make this even more profitable would be to do a deal with a tow truck operator – you call him and get a cut when he does the tow and you could do a deal with a personal injury lawyer and get paid for making a referral.

Do you spend much time on the road? Use this idea and be creative with your own ideas. Make some extra money today!
